People Programs Manager

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs a People Programs Manager to own and scale its rotation, internship and assignment programs. You will ensure that participants have a seamless experience from recruitment through completion, while continuously improving the programs based on data and feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end cohort cycles for the Cross‑Departmental Rotation Program across existing and new markets.
• Own the Undergraduate Internship Program, handling liaison, hiring, onboarding, guardian management and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate Short‑Term and Long‑Term Assignment deployments, including offer alignment, logistics and regular check‑ins.
• Maintain scoring consistency, fairness and data‑driven reporting for all programs.
• Identify gaps, propose policy solutions and keep program guidelines up to date.
• Run design review sessions with stakeholders to expand or refine program structures.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and structured mindset with a focus on participant experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple programs across different countries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Data‑oriented approach to continuous improvement.
