People Programs Manager

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa and needs a People Programs Manager to own and scale its rotation, internship and assignment programs. You will ensure that rotators, interns and employees on short‑ or long‑term assignments have a seamless, impactful experience that supports the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end cohort cycles for the Cross‑Departmental Rotation Program across existing and new markets.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of the Undergraduate Internship Program, from hiring liaison to onboarding, mentorship, and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate Short‑Term Assignment (STA) and Long‑Term Assignment (LTA) deployments, handling offers, benefits, logistics and regular check‑ins.
• Maintain consistent scoring, fairness and data‑driven improvements across all programs.
• Document program guidelines, identify expansion opportunities, and lead design review sessions with stakeholders.
