About the role

The Loulo Gold Mine is seeking an experienced Mine Foreman to lead underground mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance while meeting production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise underground development, drill & blast, and haulage crews, assigning daily tasks based on the mine plan.
• Coordinate drilling, blasting, mucking, and haulage to maintain production targets and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Ensure ground support installation, ventilation, dewatering, and power systems operate according to engineering standards.
• Conduct safety inspections, report unsafe conditions, and lead emergency response efforts.
• Prepare shift reports on production, equipment status, safety incidents, and hand over to incoming supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of underground mining experience.
• Strong commitment to safety and a positive safety culture.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Team‑oriented with the ability to develop a collaborative work environment.

Required skills

• Underground drilling and blasting operations.
• Ground support installation (rock bolts, shotcrete, wire mesh).
• Operation of mining equipment such as jumbo drills, LHDs, haul trucks, and ITs.
• Ventilation, dewatering, and power system management.
• Production planning and contractor management.
