IT Operations Associate

About the role

We are looking for an IT Operations Associate to ensure reliable internet, telephony and network services across our African offices. You will support employees, product and engineering teams and help maintain the infrastructure that powers our cash‑less payments platform.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain office internet connectivity with 99.9 % uptime and coordinate with external ISPs.
• Ensure the reliability of SMPP and SIP connections for SMS and voice notifications.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to manage tickets, troubleshoot network and telephony issues.
• Analyse error logs from ISPs and telephony platforms and resolve connectivity problems.
• Support onboarding of new staff by provisioning hardware, installing software and applying IT best practices.
• Manage permissions and hardware inventory for employees.
• Assist users with software and hardware questions and provide prompt resolution.
• Collaborate with IT and telephony teams across multiple African countries to scale operations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with network and telephony operations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑growing fintech environment and handle on‑call duties.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Attention to detail in documentation and ticket management.
