Bambara Language Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a native‑level Bambara language specialist to support our AI and machine‑learning initiatives. This remote contract position involves translating, editing, and curating Bambara content to ensure cultural relevance and high linguistic quality.

Key responsibilities

• Translate content to and from Bambara with expert accuracy.
• Edit and proofread Bambara language data to maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with AI trainers and developers to annotate, evaluate, and improve Bambara datasets.
• Create and review glossaries, linguistic resources, and written materials in Bambara.
• Provide cultural insights, idioms, and expressions to optimize AI outputs.
• Deliver all work within project deadlines and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Bambara, both spoken and written.
• Strong background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Proven experience editing, reviewing, or producing Bambara content.
• Ability to translate complex concepts fluently and accurately.
• Experience with language data and AI platforms is a plus.
