IT Engineer – Identity & Access Management Specialist

About the role

AVL is seeking an IT Engineer specialized in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to modernize and automate core IAM processes. You will work on identity lifecycle systems, improve role management, and ensure secure, efficient access across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, data handling, and operational improvements.
• Support role management activities, including role modeling and governance enhancements.
• Contribute to GUI design for IAM portals and tools, focusing on usability.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and enhance Microsoft Identity Manager (Sync Engine & Portal).
• Handle service tickets and collaborate with internal IT and business stakeholders.
• Improve data quality to prepare identity data for future AI consumption.
• Support process re‑engineering initiatives to standardize and automate IAM workflows.
• Provide IAM expertise for internal business projects.

Required profile

• Completed education or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in Identity & Access Management or a related technical area.
• Strong analytical mindset, quality awareness, and a structured, independent way of working.
• Good English communication skills; German is a plus.

• PowerShell scripting.
