PBF Secretariat Coordinator

About the role

The PBF Secretariat Coordinator will lead the PBF Secretariat team in Mali, ensuring effective governance, accountability and impact of the Peacebuilding Fund portfolio. The role supports the Joint Steering Committee, provides technical assistance to partners, and oversees monitoring, evaluation, reporting and communication of results.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and build capacity of the Secretariat team in peacebuilding, gender‑mainstreaming, M&E and related areas.
• Coordinate portfolio management with recipient organisations, UN system actors, national stakeholders and civil society.
• Support the Joint Steering Committee with secretarial tasks, meeting organisation, report drafting and follow‑up of decisions.
• Ensure visibility of portfolio results, mobilise resources and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Experience in managing multi‑partner peacebuilding or development programmes.
• Strong understanding of governance, accountability and results‑based management.
• Ability to work closely with UN Resident Coordinator, RCO team and senior UN officials.

Required skills

• Technical and logistical support for steering committees and joint meetings.
• Monitoring, evaluation, reporting and auditing of programme results.
• Knowledge of gender‑mainstreaming, conflict‑sensitivity and natural resources management.
