Supply & Logistics Manager (P-4) – Fixed Term – Bamako

About the role

The Supply & Logistics Manager reports to the Chief of Supply (or Chief of Operations) and leads the supply chain functions for a medium‑to‑large country office and emergency response operations in Mali. The role ensures that procurement, customs, warehousing, transport and distribution are aligned with programme needs and UNICEF standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Supply section, overseeing planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, transport and distribution.
• Deliver supply chain services for routine operations and emergency response, ensuring timely availability of goods and services.
• Collaborate closely with programme teams and implementing partners to define supply interventions that meet child‑focused results.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government and national systems on supply chain management.
• Drive innovation in products, markets and supply solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Supply/Purchasing, Logistics, International Development, Health Administration, Social Science, Management, Contract Law or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in supply management, procurement, logistics, emergency response or public‑sector procurement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead supply chain operations and manage risk.
