People Partner

About the role

We are looking for a Strategic People Partner to shape the employee experience, talent initiatives and organisational effectiveness at Wave, a fast‑growing fintech driving cashless payments across Africa. The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on HR delivery, partnering with business leaders to support performance, development and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leads to assess and evolve team structures, facilitate organisation health reviews and support change‑management initiatives.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify development needs, support individual development planning and track learning participation.
• Work with leaders on talent management, performance review cycles, succession planning and building a strong talent pipeline.
• Manage internship and rotation programmes, coordinating recruitment, onboarding and integration of high‑performing participants.

Required profile

• Curious and strategic mindset with a hands‑on approach to HR delivery.
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders on organisational design, performance coaching and employee experience.
• Experience in talent management, learning & development collaborations and succession planning.
