People and Culture Officer (P-2) – Fixed Term – Bamako

About the role

The People and Culture Officer supports the People and Culture Manager in delivering HR services for UNICEF’s country office in Bamako. Reporting to the manager, the officer applies HR theory and UNICEF policies to assist supervisors and staff across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide business partnering and strategic HR advice to line managers.
• Implement assigned HR services, including recruitment, performance management and employee relations.
• Support learning and capacity‑development initiatives for staff.
• Conduct HR data analytics and generate reports for decision‑making.
• Contribute to change‑management activities and promote consistent application of HR regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management, International Relations or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant HR experience in an international organization or large corporation.
• Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English.
• Strong research, planning and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.
