About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Humanitarian Response and Recovery Coordinator to lead emergency operations in Mali. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with the Department of Operations and Emergencies, the coordinator will ensure that humanitarian and recovery activities are delivered effectively and in line with IOM policies.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of all operational and administrative aspects of emergency‑related projects.
- Ensure coherence between emergency response, recovery, and development components.
- Strengthen IOM’s response preparedness by improving coordination and aligning programme capacities.
- Verify alignment of project activities with IOM policies, procedures and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with regional thematic specialists, headquarters units and the Program and Policy Support Unit.
Required profile
- Proven experience in coordinating emergency response or humanitarian projects.
- Familiarity with IOM policies, procedures and humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
- Ability to work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission and in partnership with regional and headquarters teams.
