CAD Designer - Automotive Electrical Systems (Junior/Mid)

About the Position

Join a global leader in automotive technology! As a CAD Designer at our Zagreb site, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge high-voltage and low-voltage connectors for the European automotive market. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of mechanical precision and electrical innovation.

Main Missions

• Design and develop electrical connection systems (high/low voltage) meeting strict client requirements (mechanical, electrical, and environmental).
• Perform design verification and technical benchmarking of both internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into manufacturable concepts (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly).
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, tolerance analyses, tender documents, and product standards.
• Develop validation templates to ensure product reliability and performance.

Profile Required

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1 to 5 years of professional experience (highly motivated fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Strong passion for automotive system design and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to work autonomously while maintaining a strong team spirit.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and oral) is mandatory.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in CAD software: Catia V5 and/or SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Technical documentation and tolerance analysis.
• French or German language skills are a significant plus.
